PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Gas prices have fallen to an average $3.70 per gallon in Rhode Island, down 2 cents from last week.
But a weekly survey released Monday by AAA Southern New England says the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded is still 5 cents more than the national average of $3.65 per gallon.
The price of a gallon of gas has risen 15 cents since last year at this time, when a gallon cost $3.55. That's an increase of 4 percent.
