TRIPOLI, Lebanon: Four grenades were found Sunday morning near one of the Syrian refugee camps in Akkar, north Lebanon.
The camp is also near the headquarters of the Future Movement in the Akkar town of Khraibet Jundi.
A military expert inspected reported "bombs" that turned out to be hand grenades.
Residents of the refugee camp have called for a sit-in at 11 a.m. in protest of the Syrian presidential election, with a high turnout expected.
Syrian expats in Lebanon recently cast their ballots for the presidential poll at their country’s embassy in Yarze. The overwhelming number of voters caused a backlash in the country, home to over a million Syrian refugees.
