Berri in Cairo for Sisi’s inauguration

BEIRUT: Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri left Sunday morning for Cairo to attend Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi’s inauguration.

The speaker was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Moqbel.

Sisi, Egypt's former defense minister, was sworn in Sunday morning, during the day by the Supreme Constitutional Court as the country's new president after winning last month's presidential poll.

The new president will host a reception in honor of Arab and foreign dignitaries attending his inauguration, including Berri.
