Army: We recognize the sensitivity of challenges


BEIRUT: The Chief of Staff of the Lebanese Army says the Army recognizes the difficulty and sensitivity of the challenges threatening the country, the National News Agency reported.


“[Lebanon] is surrounded by an environment witnessing consecutive crises and accelerating events, that affect the local situation,” Maj. Gen. Walid Salman said in the graduation ceremony of the 28th round of Army officers. “The Army’s leadership acknowledges the difficulty and sensitivity of this situation.”


Salman represented Army’s General Commander Jean Kahwaji in the ceremony, which celebrated the graduation of officers of Lebanese, Kuwaiti, Egyptian, Jordanian, Sudanese and French nationalities. It was held at Fouad Shehab’s Command and Staff College in Rihaniyyeh.
