BEIRUT: A rocket from Syria hit a Bekaa Valley town Sunday, with no casualties reported, security sources told The Daily Star.
The rocket fired from the eastern mountain range hit the Bekaa Valley town of Brital, the sources said, causing slight material damage.
Bekaa Valley villages have frequently been subject to similar attacks. Islamist rebel groups fighting in Syria have claimed responsibility for similar attacks on predominantly Shiite towns in the past, citing Hezbollah's role in the Syrian crisis fighting alongside regime forces.
