Fire destroys Syrian refugee tents in e.Lebanon


BEIRUT: A fire erupted in Syrian refugee tents set up in east Lebanon at dawn Friday, destroying several makeshift homes.


Civil Defense teams were able to put out the blaze, which some local media reports said destroyed 17 tents.


The Internal Security Forces arrived to the scene of the fire and launched an investigation to determine the cause.


No causalities were reported.


A video circulating online showed the fire in the Bekaa Valley town of Jdita raging with several people standing and watching.
