Job fair set for revamped mall


Companies opening at the revamped Riverwalk shopping mall will hold a job fair Monday to take applications for nearly 800 part-time and full-time positions.

The event will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Great Hall at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.


The development, now known as the Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, is expected to open May 22 after a $70 million renovation by its new owner, Howard Hughes Corp.


Company officials say more than 70 tenants have signed leases, including retailers Neiman Marcus, Kenneth Cole, Coach and LOFT.
