Police make major drug bust near Beirut


BEIRUT: Police raided a suspected drug dealer’s house Monday and confiscated large amounts of various drugs, an Internal Security Forces statement said Tuesday.


The statement said the police received information about a 52-year-old drug dealer in the Beirut suburb of Fanar.


A raid on the suspect's home turned up 462 grams of powder cocaine, 94 grams of freebase cocaine, 43 tablets of ecstasy, 40 pills of Captagon, 188 grams of marijuana, 365 grams of hash and 18 grams of salvia were found at the apartment, the statement added.


The police also confiscated two scales used to weigh drugs and four mobile phones.
