Army detains six Syrians in Bekaa Valley


BERIUT: The Lebanese Army arrested six Syrians over the weekend in the Bekaa Valley, a statement from the military said.


“At around 12:40 p.m. [on Saturday], the Lebanese Armed Forces arrested six Syrian nationals in the area around Beit Lahya for illegally entering Lebanese territories,” the statement said.


The National News Agency said the detainees were “a group of Syrian fighters from an extremist group” and were captured by the military after being ambushed in the town of Beit Lahya.
