BEIRUT: Two of the three women arrested on the Arsal-Labwe road earlier this week while riding in a car rigged with explosives were released over the weekend, judicial sources told The Daily Star.
Military Prosecutor Judge Saqr Saqr ordered the release of the two women, Hala Rayed and Khadija Awdeh, because they were "not involved" in the case, the sources said.
Joumana Hmeid, the woman driving the car, was is still in custody, they added.
Lebanon’s Army intelligence stopped the explosives-rigged car on the Arsal-Labwe road in the Bekaa Valley on Wednesday.
