BEIRUT: Naim Abbas, a leading figure in the Al-Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades, was referred Saturday to Military Prosecutor Judge Saqr Saqr along with three other suspects, judicial sources said.
Abbas, arrested earlier this month by the Lebanese Army intelligence, was referred to the judge after being questioned by the military for nearly ten days.
Among the three other suspects referred to the judge was Joumana Hmeid, the woman arrested while driving a car rigged with explosives on the Arsal-Labweh road nearly two weeks ago.
Two other women accompanied Hmeid when the car was seized but the judge ordered their release last week ruling they were "not involved" in the case.
