OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. -- A licensed ice cream truck is rolling in Ocean Springs.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1ukGFcf ) it took the better part of the summer, research by two city department heads to compile an ordinance and approval from city leaders - even the ones who don't like to hear "Farmer in the Dell" played loudly over and over.
But Ocean Springs now allows ice cream trucks.
And Mrs. T's Tasty Treats has its license.
And Tuesday afternoon, the city announced: Permit applications for ice cream truck vendors are now available online or at the Building Department office. The ice cream truck ordinance was approved by the Board of Aldermen on Aug. 19.
