BEIRUT: Two rockets fired overnight from Syria landed in two border towns in the Bekaa Valley, security sources said Wednesday.
The sources told The Daily Star that one rocket fell on a public park in Labweh while the second crashed near a local resident's house in nearby Nabi Othman.
The attack caused material damage only, the sources added.
Islamist rebel groups fighting in Syria have claimed responsibility for similar attacks on predominantly-Shiite towns in the past, citing Hezbollah's role in the Syrian crisis.
