Syrian warplane strikes Arsal outskirts


BEIRUT: A Syrian warplane fired one missile into the outskirts of the northeastern Lebanese border town of Arsal Thursday, a security source told The Daily Star.


The source said the missile landed in a remote area on Arsal's edge.


There were no immediate reports of casualties.


Arsal is known for its support for Syrian rebels.
